There was a mail in ballot sent to you postmarked May 13th in regards to the current vote on a change to the way we handle healthcare. Under further inspection it was discovered that the ballot contains a date typo. It states that the ballot must be in by May 14th, which is impossible. The actual due date for the ballot to be in the union P.O. Box is JUNE 18th.
If any questions, Or if you haven’t received your ballot yet contact David Allen by your usual means of contact or by this site at

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 23 of RI, in partnership with CCRI, is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Toy Drive to benefit families in need, whose parents are attending CCRI as students. This year, in an effort to assist more families, support small businesses, and to follow current health protocols, we have partnered with Henry Bear’s Park Toy Store and their It Takes a Village Program to make our venture contact-less by providing care packages, in the form of gift cards to children in need. They have even offered to match 25% of donations!
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted us all, and the many CCRI students who struggle to afford college while also working, often more than one job, and taking care of their young families are no exception. Your generosity will help these hard-working students by making their holidays a little brighter for their children.
All you need to do is click the link below, select the IATSE button and how many care packages you’d like to donate, enter your information, and you’re all set. All transactions are tax-free and fully secure using Henry Bear’s Park website. Thank you in advance for doing your part in making sure these RI boys and girls have an amazing winter holiday.
We have implemented a method of paying your Local 23 dues online. Here are the steps:
Use this link to send an email to Dave Allen, the secretary-treasurer, at
telling him how many quarters you want to pay for. The price, online only, will be $77.50 per quarter, which adds up to $310 for the whole year. This includes a surcharge for the Paypal service that we are using.
He will send you an invoice, to the email address you gave him, for the amount that you have requested. There will be a link in that invoice to the Paypal payment service. Click that. You will be sent to the secure Paypal portal, where you can use any major credit or debit card to pay. This will work on a desktop or mobile device.
You will receive a receipt for your purchase, and Dave will arrange to get your stamps to you.
You can still mail a check to Dave of course, and the price would be the normal $75 per quarter, the mailing address:
IATSE Local 23 PO Box 23044 Providence RI 02903
If you have any issues with this, please send Dave Allen another email and explain your issue. Thanks.
